No. Only those Beneficiaries listed in The Dulwich Estate’s Scheme approved by the Charity Commission can benefit.
Is the Estate connected with Dulwich College?
Dulwich College is one of the Beneficiaries of the Charity. This School is not part of the Estate but is a separate charity with its own Board of Governors.

I have recently bought a freehold residential property on the Estate is there anything I need to do?
Under the Scheme of Management, you need to register your ownership — see Change of Ownership.
I want to make alterations to my freehold residential property and I have applied for planning permission (or I do not require this under 'permitted development') what else do I need to do?
Regardless as to whether planning permission is required or obtained, you need the prior consent under the Scheme of Management to make changes to the external appearance of a property — see About the Scheme of Management.
I want to remove or reduce the size of a tree on my freehold residential property, do I need permission for this?
Yes. All tree works require prior consent under the Scheme of Management — see About the Scheme of Management.
Can I convert my freehold residential property into flats?
A change of use of the property is subject to consent under the Scheme of Management — see Guidelines Change of Use.

How do I extend my leasehold residential property lease?

Can I carry out alterations to my leasehold residential property?
Under the terms of the lease, you have to obtain the consent of The Dulwich Estate as freeholder, if you wish to carry out any structural alterations or change the external appearance of the property. If the Estate grants consent, a Licence for the works will be issued, on payment of a Licence fee.
Do I need permission to rent my leasehold residential property out?
Consent is not required, but you are advised to let your property through a reputable agent and to responsible tenants in order to avoid problems with their occupation of the property. Please provide us with the details of your agent in the event that we need to gain emergency access to the property. Your contact details should also be held on record, please.
